Aloha Daughters of the Goddess,
Beltane is one of the hot and juicy seasons of the year. I am so appreciating the blooming, budding, the warmth of the Sun, the ripeness of the Earth. The Sun was strong as we journeyed thru the deserts of the Southwest to Arizona and the Gem & Mineral show. The stones were vibrating with energy as we walked thru the acres of vendors with tables filled with the wonders of the Earth, some so heated from soaking up the rays they were too hot to touch. One had to just walk thru and be open to those wanting to journey back with us. The drive back was blessed with the songs of the stones happily singing their Earth songs and excited to bring their blessings to the temple and Her daughters. Looking forward to sharing our new stones and crystals from the desert show in Tucson.

Selket is an ancient Egyptian Goddess depicted as a tall woman with a scorpion on Her head. She was worshipped all over ancient Egypt because of Her protective qualities. She rules over all poisonous creatures, especially scorpions, spiders and snakes. She embodies both the venom and the antidote. Most of Her devotees were healers. She was revered for giving both the kiss of death and the breath of life. She is also the protector of women in childbirth. Her magic came from knowing the land and its creatures, understanding the roles of life, death, and rebirth.
Beltane is the peak of Spring, the midpoint between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. The plants are in full bloom and the animals are active and mating. The Earth is pregnant and alive. It is a time of fertility, sexuality and abundance. It is a time of returning to, coming into, embracing the passions of life.
Stones have been used for healing since the beginning of time. Ancient Egyptians mined for crystals and gemstones as aids for health, healing, protection, well-being. All over the world cultures knew/know the powerful transformative energy of the stones and crystals.
