North Face of Chomulungma
Aloha Daughters of the Goddess,
We just celebrated Lammas, the first Harvest festival. We reflect on what has come to fruition from the planting in the Spring. Combining the power of the Scorpio Moon and the Goddess Chomolungma we will use this energy to work on long term goals and visions and see how they flourish and continue to grow.

Chomolungma is the Goddess of the highest peak in the world from sea level and above. Misnamed in the western world, as Mount Everest, She is the Mother Goddess of Tibet, known as Mother of the Universe, Goddess of the Mother Earth, Goddess of the Sky and Miyolangsangma. The Himalayan Mountains, which means the “Abode of Snow,” is the youngest and highest mountain system in the world, this is Her home and realm. She is one of five sisters associated with mountains and sacred lakes in Nepal and Tibet.
Chomolungma is a Goddess of the Sherpa’s, one of the indigenous cultures of the Himalayan Mountains. She has two strong aspects as the Great Mother, all loving Goddess. Devotes give Her offerings and praises to help people to attain their and community goals. Her other side is very wrathful and destructive, so She is given offerings to help calm and keep Her at peace. Chomolungma is truly a Goddess of nature and the world, beautiful, mysterious and life giving but also often taking everything away.
We are celebrating a waxing Moon in Scorpio which is the perfect time to work on change, wishes and goal accomplishments.
For the altar, please bring a white candle, any symbols of a goal that you would like to manifest, and if you have them, any objects from Nepal and Tibet.
Please see our participation page for more information on attending our ceremonies.
