Spiritual/mundane, coming together, connecting, flowing inside and out. This is the essence of spiritual prayer. This is the essence of Laksmi. Salutations to the Great Goddess Laksmi, personification of the sustaining energy.
Salutations to She who manifests every kind of abundance.
Mantras have been chanted for as long as is remembered. The healing and power of chanting is known worldwide, thru most cultures, in various forms. From sounding various tones, to repeating phrases/prayers and on. The Hindu culture is well known for its mantras.
Laksmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth, fortune, auspiciousness, power, luxury, beauty, fertility, grace and beauty. Her connections to wealth are not limited to material wealth and money. Her worship also includes noble values, concentration power of the mind and intellect, moral & ethical wealth.
She is usually depicted either sitting or standing on a lotus flour which is a symbol of purity and spiritual power. She is always dressed in beautiful clothes, usually red in color, with jewels and gold. The two top hands represent Her connection to the spiritual world, the lower two represent the connection to the material world. So, in prayer to Her you are connecting the two worlds together.
