Aloha Daughters of the Goddess,

Mercy and compassion seem to be lacking in the world these days.  Violence and aggression to be the norm.  It’s infectious and so easy to fall into, whether it be toward governments, cultures, religions, or each other. We need to come together as womyn to make some changes.  Come together to call to Kuan Yin, teach us the practices of Mercy and Compassion so that it will emanate from us and spread.  Come and join us and pray for peace, inside and out.

Kuan Yin is revered throughout Asia, and has been for thousands of years.  She is the Chinese Goddess of infinite mercy and compassion. Her name means “She who hears the sounds/sufferings/cries of the world”.  She comes to us at countless times in our lives as a listener, a teacher, a healer, a protector, and a guide. Kuan Yin activates love of self, love of others, and love of the Divine, for She is the feminine embodiment of love. It is said that She provides the blessings of children and answers the prayers of those longing for a child.  Kuan Yin also provides health and long life, and rescues people from drowning, lightning, and poverty.   Also known to be particularly a protector of womyn and children.

For those who are joining us on Zoom, please create a small altar for yourself.  Please bring a red candle for the altar.  If called, please bring/place on your altar any imagery of Kuan Yin or Her symbols: willow branch, lotus, vase of nectar, jade, pearls, peacock, bell, crown/tiara.   For the feast, please try to bring Asian food if you can.
