Aloha

Spiral Dance is a time of bringing together many Spirit Women in the community to share their gifts and talents in creating this sacred and powerful ceremony.  I am choosing to honor Kris Freewoman, a true Leader in the Women’s Spirituality community and someone who gives of herself in such a gracious and powerful way.  For those who know Kris, she is truly a remarkable Priestess, Healer, Dancer, Drummer, and Weaver of a sister spirit community for over 30 years.

She has been part of the Northern California women’s spirit community for many years and has danced and crafted with High Priestess Felicity Artemis Flowers, High Priestess Shekhinah Mountainwater, Priestess Carolyn Hunt, and countless Goddess and Women’s Festivals and Symposiums throughout the decades.  She has been the co-producer and leader of the Sebastopol Goddess Crafts Faire for the last 20 years.

It is Kris’ dedication to the Great Goddess that many emanations of the Great Mother are kept alive and well in our community and the greater Global communities.   We need the Goddess more than ever.  Please bring a treasure or offering to be placed in a communal gift basket for her; write a sentiment expressing something to her with your gift.

Daughters of the Goddess has been celebrating our Annual Women’s Spiral Dance since 1998.  We have gathered together hundreds of women over the years to celebrate this sacred holy day.  Women join together to celebrate our ancestors, our crones, and each other.  Joining hands, we slowly circle in and out of the spiral, dancing to the rhythm of the drums, giving thanks, prayers, and love.  Looking into the faces of our sisters as they pass by, going into the center, then coming back out, rebirthing, releasing, renewing.  What a precious gift.

Daughters of the Goddess is an Aloha-Dianic, Womyn-only Goddess Temple dedicated in the Spirit of Aloha to the preservation, perpetuation, and promotion of Goddess and Indigenous culture, public ceremony, ritual, and Womyn’s Mysteries.  We are in the San Francisco Bay Area, with most events held in the East Bay.
